COMMUNITY STREET SOCCER
In addition to offering our services to external organisations, Streetwise Soccer also deliver our own Community Street Soccer projects in our local area of Chester.
Using our range of unique & portable football activities such as our Panna Football Cage and Inflatable Football Pitch, music from our portable speakers and experienced skills coaches, we deliver a weekly Community Street Soccer project for children living in deprived areas of the city. We create a positive and inclusive atmosphere, getting young people active whilst developing personal skills such as confidence, self-esteem and respect for others in their community.
This work is funded through grant applications to various funders and is delivered in conjunction with Cheshire Police and other local community organisations such as Streetworx and Sanctuary Housing.
The aim of our Community Street Soccer projects are to provide positive activities and experiences for children living in deprived communities, many of whom face challenges such as an unstable home environment, economic difficulties, getting involved in anti-social behaviour and poor behaviour at school. We aim to provide these children with positive adult role models to engage and inspire them to overcome their challenges and improving personal skills such as behaviour, respect, discipline and leadership.
